9 False Myths you should know about the Smartphone's battery

Many people believe some wrong myths about the actions that destroy the phone's battery, so in this article, we will discover 9 False Myths you should know about the Smartphone's battery.

What is the most important component of the smartphone? the screen? Maybe! It allows us to see what is going on on the phone and interact with the applications and with the various functions of the device. Unfortunately, the answer is wrong. The most important component is the battery. Now our relationship with the smartphone battery is love and hate because its life is decreasing more and more over time, although phone manufacturers use larger and larger batteries. So how can we improve battery consumption and improve health? Very simple: you should use your phone in the most intelligent way possible, trying to reduce the errors that make your phone's battery weak.

1 - Turning off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS will extend battery life:
This assumption is also partly false. These features only drain the battery if used. For example, if we activate Bluetooth, but no device is connected, there will be no battery drain.

2 - Using third-party applications to manage the battery:
App stores have many apps that promise to increase battery life by improving consumption. None of this is true, these apps do nothing more than operating systems do. Therefore, do not install any application, it will only degrade the performance of your smartphone.

3 - Non-original cables destroy the battery:
Another wrong myth needs careful explanation. Let's start with the assumption: to charge the smartphone the original cable is the best solution, but in the absence of the original cable and we need to charge the phone, we can also do it with another brand. The only concern that should be taken care of is not to use low-quality cables, it is better to rely on those that are made by trusted brands. The only reason to use the original cable is when the smartphone uses a certain charging technology.

4 - Leaving your smartphone charged overnight destroys the battery:
Another thing is incorrect. Smartphones are so smart that they slow down the battery charge when they reach 100%, so as not to destroy them (but this does not apply to counterfeit phones that are not original). And always remember rule 40-80.

5 - Turning off the smartphone will damage the battery:
Just another myth. Turning the smartphone off does not affect the battery, on the contrary. In some cases, turning it off and restarting allows you to reset some settings and features and make them work better. The only real thing is that if we keep the smartphone locked for a long time, the battery charge will be lower when the phone is turned on.

6 - You have to charge your smartphone 100% when using it for the first Time:
Another myth from the past: to calibrate the battery when we first use a smartphone, we need to charge it up to 100%. But this is not correct. Because it was originally before the smartphone came to market, the battery was calibrated at the factory of this phone.

7 - Charge the battery until it reaches 100%:
Let's start by exposing this wrong legend: they've been telling us for years that to make the battery work at its best, it is necessary to completely drain it and then recharge it until it reaches 100%. But this is just a wrong legend that does nothing but destroys the battery. The golden rule that must be followed concerning charging the smartphone is 40-80, i.e. recharging the smartphone when the battery is less than 40% and removing the phone from charging when it reaches 80%.

8 - Putting the battery in the refrigerator extends its life:
Some people think that putting the battery in the refrigerator will extend its life. It may seem contradictory, but it is. Logically speaking, this is a false myth that must be carefully explained: Lithium-ion batteries prefer a moderate temperature, similar to the environment. Both very hot and very cold will harm it and reduce its independence and health.

9 - Using your smartphone while charging:
Many people think that using the phone while charging leads to a weak battery. It is not. You can continue to use it without any kind of problem. It's a wrong legend that many believe, but this does not affect the battery.
